TPRNo6

Summary

The lineup at this year’s Trans Pyrenees Race was extraordinarily strong, with returning riders, veterans from other Lost Dot races, and experienced racers from further afield coming to test their limits in the Pyrenees. As always, versatility and adaptability were the name of the game, as the weather turned fickle and tarmac ran out on high mountain roads. Those who arrived best prepared prevailed on the toughest days of this self-routed, coast-to-coast-to-coast adventure.

‍

The vast majority of finishers completed the race within the General Classification, upholding the standards of true self-supported riding in their category. With very few time adjustments, the results reflect a level playing field, with exemplary sportsmanship demonstrated by our overall winner, Nicolas Chatelet (008), and throughout the top ten. Our FLINTA-category winner, Anna Richter (004), finished seventh overall, followed by Jana Kesenheimer (002) in ninth, marking two FLINTA riders in the top ten.
