Lost Dot 101: Santiago

Summary

Lost Dot 101 marked a milestone for Lost Dot as our first ever all-FLINTA race. From Santiago de Compostela to the finish line in Córdoba, riders took on an unsupported journey with determination, resilience, and a remarkable sense of community, writing the opening chapter of a new race. Many of the Lost Dot 101 riders were new to racing, discovering their strengths and weaknesses, and learning to solve problems as they pedalled across Spain and Portugal. We hope to see many of them continue in the sport after this first foray into self-supported racing.

‍

It wasn’t a first for all riders, with a competitive line-up vying for the top spot at the front from the start. In the end, it was Anna Richter who took the win with an incredible performance leading the race and finishing in a time of 3 days, 3 hours, and 30 minutes.

‍

We've also added a new Sustainability section to the race results, highlighting the impact of race travel and putting into context the effect of the Green Leaderboard and choosing overland travel. Together, the 42 riders who travelled flight-free prevented an estimated 17,566kg of CO₂e compared with equivalent flights—a 79% reduction that demonstrates the collective impact of travelling overland.
